Gathering for Growth: Pacific Palms Property's 'Kibung' Recognizes Team Efforts and Future Endeavours
Pacific Palms Property concluded the first quarter of 2024 by hosting a "Kibung" (when translated means a gathering or meeting in Tok Pidgin) to reflect on the achievements in 2023 and look ahead to the rest of 2024.
At the "Kibung" we recognized the teams that worked in collaboration to achieve significant milestones 2023 and the first quarter of 2024.
Pacific Palms Property was joined by the other Steamships Properties businesses.

Team Spirit on the Water: Pacific Palms Property Participates at the 2024 Corporate Va'a Challenge
Our Va’a Teams had a blast participating in the 2024 Corporate Va’a challenge organized by the Papua New Guinea Canoeing Association at the Lancron Naval Base.
Our team traded the office for paddles and had an amazing time out on the water canoeing together. This is the first Corporate Va’a challenge Pacific Palms Property has participated in and we are looking forward to participating in future Va’a Challenges.

Embracing Tradition: Pacific Palms Property Welcomes the Chinese New Year with Joyous Celebrations
We had an amazing time celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year and welcoming the year of the Dragon at our properties! We were thrilled to have performances by the Cathay Club at some of our properties, including the Badili Wholesale Centre, Downtown Plaza, and the vibrant Harbourside Precinct (Harbourside East, West, and South).

PPP Shines at Steamships Rugby 7s Tournament
On Saturday 8th October, Pacific Palms Property participated in the Steamships annual Rugby 7s and Touch tournament. There was a total of 23 teams with 344 players respectively from various Steamships divisions, which also included Swire Shipping. After a 2-year break, all teams were looking forward to getting back on the field to vie for the MDs cup and have some fun with other divisions.
The Steamships Rugby Sevens Tournament is the oldest corporate sporting event in PNG. The women's rugby touch tournament started in later years but has been attracting equal amount of participation each year since.
The Harbourside property team have been training hard with other Pacific Palms Property team members to be a contending team to win the MDs cup. And we're proud to say that both the male (Landlords) and female (Residents) PPP teams, were runner up for the MDs cup.
Exceptional effort from both teams and we can already feel the excitement and hunger from both teams for future games.
Well done to all other divisions and thank you to the Steamships organizing team for such a lovely day out with staff, family and friends.
